Activities
Lincoln County 4-H provides many opportunities for youth to participate in positive youth development activities beyond their 4-H club.
Activities sponsored by Lincoln County 4-H include 4-H Auction, the Music and Lip Sync Festival, the Communications Contest, Project Discovery Days, the Drama Fest, 4-H Camps, Clothing, Knitting and Crocheting Revue, and the 4-H Market Place.

Annual Lincoln County 4-H Celebrity Auction
100% of the proceeds raised from the Annual Lincoln County 4-H Celebrity Auction will be utilized for ongoing support to the Lincoln County 4-H Programs. Activities benefiting from the auction include annual Project Discovery Days in Merrill and Tomahawk, Cultural and Communication Arts festivals, 4-H Ambassador Program; Summer Camps; and state and national trip opportunities for older youth. The majority of items available for bidding will be autographed items for major sports teams and personalities. There was no auction in 2009; please check back for more information on the 2010 auction.

Music and Lip Sync Festival
Do you love to sing and play? Are you a dancing sensation? Do you think you are better at performing the hit songs than the stars are? Then the Music and Lip Sync Festival is for you!

This event will be held on January 24, 2010, 9:00 am at the Tomahawk School Auditorium in Tomahawk. The Moonspinners 4-H Club is coordinating this year's Festival.
Registration for the Communications Contest is due January 11, 2010.

Communications Contest (Speaking, Puppetry, Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks)
Do you have an interesting topic you'd love to talk about? Would you like a chance to share your speaking ability? Do you have a 4-H Project that you love to do; a hobby that you want to share? Do you know how to groom a dog or braid hair? If yes is the answer, then the Lincoln Country Communications Contest is for you!

This event will be held on February 27, 2010, 9:00 am at Our Saviour's Church in Merrill. The Merrill Busy Bees 4-H Club is coordinating this year’s Communication Contest. The UW-Extension also has DVD's of past events available for you to view or purchase.
Registration for the Communications Contest is due February 15, 2010.

Project Discovery Days
Discover the Adventure Called … 4-H. Lincoln County 4-H will again be sponsoring Project Discovery Day in Merrill and Tomahawk. These events allow youth from all over the county to sample the projects that the 4-H program offers. Anyone is welcome to attend and you do not need to be a 4-H member to participate. Sessions run from 9 am to 1:30 pm and will be taught by 4-H youth and adult leaders, as well as community volunteers. Choose from exciting topics such as juggling, basket weaving, woodworking, model aircraft building, and much, much more.
Tomahawk Project Discovery Day
The Tomahawk PDD will be held February 27, 2009. The event will be held at the Tomahawk Middle School. Just fill out the
Tomahawk PDD Flyer and Registration (4 Pages, 1989 KB) and return it to the UW Extension office by February 1st.

Merrill Project Discovery Day

Drama Festival
Do you have a flair for the dramatic? Do you have a secret (or not so secret) desire to be an actor? Why not take part in the Lincoln Country Drama Festival? Come and join in on all the theatrics!

4-H Camps
The Lincoln County UW-Extension 4-H Youth Development Program and the 4-H Leaders’ Association has planned a fun filled camping season for all youth in Lincoln County (4-H and non 4-H). 4-H Camp is a great way to make new friends, experience new adventures, learn cooperation, learn life skills and pass on knowledge to others. Each camp offers new and different opportunities and activities. More information and details on how to register are in the Camp Brochure.
Lincoln & Taylor 4-H Camp

Trails End Camp, Bruce, WI
For all youth grades 3-8. Features dorm style living and programs in recreation, crafts, canoeing, nature exploration, music/drama and more! Transportation from Tomahawk and Merrill is provided.

4-H Day Camp

For all youth grades K-3. Day Camp focuses on a variety of 4-H project based activities, recreation, swimming and fun. There is no fee for attending this camp!

4-H Market Place
Do you enjoy working on a 4-H project? Do you think you can earn money selling items you made in a 4-H project? Do you want to learn about creating a small business? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then 4-H Market Place is the place for you.
Both 4-H and non-4-H youth are invited to participate in the 4-H Youth Market Place program.

Camp and Project Discovery Days is open to all youth, 4-H and non-4-H.
For all 4-H county contests/festivals (Music Festival, Speaking and Puppetry, Drama Festival, Lip Sync Contest and Demonstration and Illustrated Talk Contest ), groups may consist of any combination of enrolled 4-H members.
- Coordinator/Club hosting event determines if cancel and/or reschedule an event is needed.
- Videotaping/recording of entries of any county contest (Music Festival, Speaking and Puppetry, Drama Festival, Lip Sync Contest and Demonstration and Illustrated Talk Contest ) in place of a live performance will not be allowed.
- Adults are encouraged to provide guidance and support in teaching youth as they prepare for and perform in these events. They may assist with stage/scenery design, costuming, practices, and serve as accompanists for musical performances. However, they may not perform with the youth. Remember, these are youth performances, and we want to keep them learning experiences for the youth.
