	Prevention           Above the Influence         The goal is to help you stay above the influence.  the more aware you are of the influences around you, the better prepared you will be to stand up to the pressures that keep you down.                   Alcohol Epidemiology Program         Policies to reduce youth access to alcohol.  The AEP conducts policy-relevant research on specific initiatives to prevent alcohol-related problems.  The AEP research team has a variety of academic backgrounds, including public health, psychology, sociology and journalism.                   Alcohol Policies Project         Advocacy for the prevention of alcohol problems.  In 1981, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) launched the Alcohol Policies PRoject to help focus public and policy maker attention on high-leverage policy reforms to reduce the devasatating health and social consequences of drinking.  Since then, the project has wored with thousands of organizations and individuals to promote a comprehensive, prevention-oriented policy strategy to change the role of alcohol in society.                   CSAP's Central Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies         CSAP's Central CAPT's mission is to support the application of evidence-based substance abuse prevention programs and strategies at the regional, state and local levels; and enhance collaboration between and within each level.                   Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Prevention         Drugnet has been developed in part as a public serve by Danya International, Inc.  The site provides one of the most comprehensive listing/categorization with descriptions of other addiction related sites and materials available on the internet.                   FACE         Resources, training and action on alcohol issues.  FACE is a national non-profit organization that supports sensible alcohol policies and practices through the development of messages, strategies and training designed to create public awareness and action on alcohol issues.  FACE envisions a nation where public policy, community organizations and inidviduals come together to reduce the negative effects of underage drinking and the misuse and abuse of alcohol by adults.                   Join Together         To advance effective alcohol and drug policy, prevention and treatment.  Join Together, founded in 1991, supports community-based efforts to reduce, prevent and treat substance abuse across the nation.  Join Together Online (JTO) has long been a pioneer in using the Internet to support people working on substance abuse and gun violence issues.                   National Institute on Drug Abuse         Department of Health and Human Services.  The NIDA for Teens Web site is brought to you by the scientists at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).                   Parents the Anti-Drug         TheAntiDrug.com was created by the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign to equip parents and other adult caregivers with the tools they need to raise drug-free kids.  Working with the nation's leading experts in the fields of parenting and substance abuse prevention, TheAntiDrug.com sesrves as a drug prevention information center, and a supportive community for parents to interact and learn from each other.  the site provides parents and other adult caregivers access to:  Helpful articles and advise from expers in the fields of parenting and substance abuse prevention; Science-based drug prevention information, news and studies; Support from other parents striving to keep their children drug free; Perspectives of teens themselves.                   SAMHSA's National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information         US Department of Health and Human Services and SAMHSA's National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI) is the Nation's one-stop resource for information about substance abuse prevention and addiction treatment.                   Talk with Kids         Children Now is a research and action organization dedicated to assuring that children grow up in economically secure families, where parents can go to work confident that their children are supported by quality health coverage, a positive media environment, a good early education and safe, enriching activities to do after school.  Recognized for its expertise in media as a tool for change, Children Now designs it strategies to improve children's lives while at the same time helping America build a sustained commitment to putting children first.  Children Now is an independent, nonpartisan organization.                   The Partnership for a Drug-Free America         The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a nonprofit coalition of communication, health, medical and educational professionals working to reduce illicit drug use and help people live healthy, drug-free lives.                   Tobacco Free         Motivating youth to stay tobacco free and empowering smokers to quit successfully.                   Tobacco-Free Kids Action Fund         The Tobacco-Free Kids Action Fund is working to free America's youth from tobacco addiction and save lives by fighting Big Tobacco, mounting education and advocacy campaigns to support policies, and educating voters about the tobacco-related positions of elected officials and candidates for elected office.
