Leadership - Fair Board Director
The Lincoln County 4-H Leaders’ Association, Inc. is composed of all enrolled adult leaders and older youth (8th grade and older). The county 4-H Leader organization supports the county 4-H program in the following roles:
- Conducts supplemental county level programs for youth
- Supports volunteer education
- Raise funds and manage a budget to support 4-H Youth Development work
- Coordinates county level recognition
- Represents 4-H Youth Development to the community
- Advocates for 4-H Youth Development
- Provides input on new 4-H Youth Development opportunities and youth and volunteer needs
Each year the membership of the Association elects a Fair Board at their annual meeting held in November. The Fair Board consists of no less than seven and no more than eleven adult members of the Association, including one member from the Board of Directors. The Fair Board conducts, manages and controls the affairs and business of the annual Lincoln County 4-H Fair, but is accountable to the Board of Directors. They usually meet once a month, but may meet more frequently as the fair dates approach. In addition, they usually meet 2-3 times a year with the Board of Directors.
UW-Extension 4-H Youth Development staff serve as advisor to the Fair Board on 4-H educational programming, as well as the entire 4-H program They shall not be a member of the Fair Board and shall have no voting rights.

The Lincoln County 4-H Fair Board conducts, manages, and controls the affairs and business of the Lincoln County 4-H Fair, but is accountable to the 4-H Leaders' Association Board of Directors

Responsibilities:

Attend meetings of the Fair Board. They usually meet once per month but may meet more frequently as the fair dates approach

Attend joint meetings of the Board of Directors and Fair Board

Attend other state, district, and local meetings if possible (state convention, district meetings, county board committee meetings, etc.)

Perform such duties as may be required for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Areas of responsibility are: grounds, utilities, carnival, activity tent events, activity tent entertainment, grandstand entertainment, livestock barn, winter storage, security, advertising, publicity, promotions, commercial space, 4-H and open division departments, premium book, labor, ticket sales, and parking.

Be on the fair grounds as much as possible during the fair.

Work cooperatively with other Fair Board directors, Board of Directors, Administrative Secretary, Financial Secretary, fair department volunteers, Extension office staff, etc., to operate a successful fair

Participate in Long-Range Planning and Development

Represent the organization to the public and to private industry
